AQARs
Objective
The primary aim of IQAC is
To develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution.
To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices.
 
Functions
Some of the functions expected of the IQAC are :
a )
Development and application of quality parameters for various academic and administrative activities of the institution;
b )
Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process;
c ) Arrangement for feedback response from students;
d ) Dissemination of information on various quality parameters of higher education;
e ) Organization of institutional workshops, seminars on quality related themes, co-curricular & extra- curricular activities and extension activities (NCC and NSS)
f ) Acting as a nodal agency of the Institution for coordinating quality- related activities, including adoption and dissemination of best practices;
g ) Development of Quality Culture in the institution;
h ) Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) as per guidelines and parameters of NAAC.
 
The Major Contributions of the IQAC
The IQAC of the college conducts its meeting regularly and thereafter provide their valuable guidance and suggestions concerning to curricular and extra-curricular activities.
With the help and contribution of the IQAC members a number of innovative practices in teaching learning process have been introduced in the college. Some of the changes brought in by the IQAC of the college during the last five years are as follows:
ICT based teaching methods were introduced
Formal feedback of students are collected on the curriculum and teaching – learning process.
Efficiency of all teachers and their teaching and evaluating methods are monitored.
Seminars, workshops, motivational programs and extra-curricular activities are organized for students around the year.
Teachers also participate in seminars, workshops and faculty development programs.
Research activities are undertaken
Formal mechanism of evaluation of teachers by the students has been set up since 2013-14.
INFLIBNET installed in the college library
Developing and upgrading the infrastructure of the college.
Enriching the library by taking into consideration the suggestions of staff and students.
